Calling All Messies

A friend recently lent me a fabulous book that I absolutely must share with all of the Messies out there. I am an avid reader, but there are only a few books that I would list under the life-changing category. How Not to be a Messie: The Ultimate Guide for the Neatness Challenged is definitely one of them. Sandra Felton was certainly speaking to me when she wrote this book. It's like she got into my very messy brain, and had the crazy amazing ability to straighten it all out. The best part is that Felton keeps you laughing through the whole process.
Now, I don't know about y'all, but most self help books go in one ear and out the other. I might take away a little nugget of knowledge, but nothing worth the time it takes to read the whole book. However, How Not to be a Messie has really helped me. I've struggled with being disorganized for as long as I can remember. Over the years I've learned how to do a decent job of fighting the clutter and mess, but it was just that--a constant fight. Reading this book really helped so many things click for me. Getting and keeping things neat and tidy is no longer the struggle it once was. I can't believe it! The fabulous thing is the change is actually sticking. I finished the book a few weeks ago and promptly passed it on to my mom who is currently being revolutionized by it (she's not even a down and dirty messy, but it's seriously helping her too). I'm well on my way to getting and keeping every nook and cranny of my house in order. I've even started to organize my finances, and I'm liking it! Now don't get me wrong, I've always been a frugal kind of girl but organized? No, never. Things they are a changin'.

Now that I've alerted all of the Messies to this fabulous, life-changing read, I'm off for a day of adventures in pumpkin picking with my sweet punkin'. Pictures to be posted at a later date. Enjoy your Saturday!

  1. I'll have to see if I can find that book. I'm very "organizationally challenged," and this may help. I hope y'all had a great time picking pumpkins! I can't wait to see the pictures.
