The 8th Day of Christmas: Happy New Year!!!

"Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes."
Ephesians 4:23

The 7th Day of Christmas:

A whole lot of Levi cuteness:
"Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”
Luke 6:38

Levi's Baptism

Levi was baptized on Sunday in an absolutely lovely ceremony. The Holy Spirit certainly had to be present because my normally water phobic baby grinned when the minister sprinkled holy water on him. After the baptism my parents hosted a fabulous party in Levi's honor. We celebrated with tons of yummy food and loads of friends and family. It was a truly beautiful day.Do these two pics remind you of anything?
Nana and Aunt Annie made a beautiful and very tasty cake.
Okay, so I swore he wouldn't be allowed to eat cake except on his birthday. I might have bent the rules.
In my defense, he wanted more, but I stood firm. ;)
The revelers:
Nap time.

Levi's outfit was made by a very sweet and talented lady named Lori. She happens to have a shop on Etsy. You should certainly stop by. The outfit Levi is wearing was a custom job, and I truly have never gotten better service in my life. Lori was wonderful to work with, and she even made him a terribly cute jacket that she threw in for free. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics with him in the jacket. Don't worry...Aunt Annie and I have plans for a photo shoot later on this week with Levi in the full outfit, and of course, I'll post pictures.

All of the photos were taken by Aunt Annie, Uncle Jack, and the Glorious Gloria. A big thank you to all three.

A Blessed Christmas

This Christmas my brother, Jack, brought his fiancee, Gloria, to meet us, so we were blessed with family and family to be. Gloria happens to be a diva in the kitchen, so we were also blessed with loads of super fabulous food---as in, she cooked our whole Christmas dinner. I know you wish you could have her, but you'll just have to find your own. She's ours. We've claimed her.

The 3rd Day of Christmas

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times. ”

The 2nd Day of Christmas: Yum

"Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."

The 1st Day of Christmas

Like all good Americans we have started our Christmas festivities with food induced comas and a flurry of flying paper. Okay, so it really started with loads of hugs from family and a very lovely church service, but the food induced coma sounded funnier.
Since there really are 12 days of Christmas, this being just the first one, you can look forward to much more Christmas happiness in the coming posts. May your 12 days of Christmas be full of Christ's love and blessings.

Merry Christmas To All

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"--Luke 2:14

Have a very merry and blessed Christmas!
