BOO!

October is hands down one of my favorite months. The weather is generally beautiful (except this year...rain, rain go away). The leaves begin to fall. The air begins to cool. And, the best part...I get to decorate!! Halloween is coming, and I'm pretty much smitten. Give me an opportunity to make stuff, and I think I've landed in heaven.
Okay, so I'll admit that the top two pumpkins probably should have landed in the trash bin since they resemble apples more than pumpkins, but they've grown on me.

~The Boo pillows were inspired by some cuties spotted on Etsy. Wish I'd saved the link for y'all, but I can't seem to find them anymore.

~The pumpkins were made from the piles-o-scraps given to my by a friend. There were quite a few silks that were perfect for the occasion. On a side note: the front pumpkin once had a little curly doo-dad coming from the stem. However, Captain Destructo was on the move and that was the end of that.

So, how do y'all decorate for Autumn/Halloween?

  4. Too cute!!

Oh, I wish I could get around to sewing something. For now our decorations are just miniature pumpkins and gourds from the orchard. Soon we'll get a big bale of straw to put on the porch and put our big pumpkins out there. And Millie has been really wanting to do some other fall decorations, so I still need to think of something she can help make!

  7. Fun! I love your stuff. You are truly an artist. I don't decorate for Halloween, but I do love to decorate for fall. It's easy for me because I have a leaf motif in my front room.
