Motherlove....A Giveaway!--Closed

Giveaway Is Closed
Winner is Michelle G! Congratulations!!

Motherlove contacted me a few weeks ago to see if they could send us some goodies to try out. Of course, I said, "Yes, please!!" Even though Motherlove has been around for over 20 years, I apparently live under a rock and had never heard of them. Their site is full of organic goodies for mamas and babies. While browsing, I was super excited to find a diaper rash balm that is compatible with all diapers...even cloth! *
Motherlove ended up sending us their diaper rash balm, green salve, and a cool little Pocket Guide to Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants.

The diaper rash balm is actually for diaper rash and thrush, but can I just say that I so hope I never, ever, ever have to find out if it actually works on thrush?!! I had that with Levi...ugh. Anyway, we've been using the balm on Sophia's adorable little bum. You might remember how crazy sensitive this gal's skin is. There's not a disposable that she can wear without getting a rash, and even in cloth she's prone to them. This stuff has been great, and I don't have to put uncomfortable liners in her diapers to protect the cloth! Yay!

The green salve is also wonderful. It alleviates the itch from bites, stings, and poison ivy. I've tested this out on a few minor bites, and it definitely took the sting out. I've been waiting to see if one of us got something worse. Lo and behold, Stephan got poison ivy. Perfect timing! And, guess what? He said the green salve actually worked. Better yet, my husband who never likes to spend a dime, said that he would buy more of it. That's gotta say something, right?

As far as the pocket guide goes, it would make a great gift for a nerd like me. ;) I know I'm not the only one out there who likes to taste test edible wild plants....right?

. . .

And, now for the giveaway! Motherlove has generously offered one of you guys or gals your choice of either the diaper rash/thrush balm, the green salve, or the Pocket Guide to Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants. Here's how to win...

1. Mandatory Entry: Leave a comment with a Motherlove item that you would like to have.

2. Bonus Entries: You can tweet (once daily) or blog (once total) about the giveaway.  Be sure to link back to this post. Leave separate comments with urls for each of those entries.

Please, leave a way for me to contact you!!!
Contest is open to U.S. only. Apologies to my international friends!! I'm starting to feel guilty!
Contest will end May 28, 2011 at 10:00 pm central time.

*For those of you who saw my Twitter update about me having an allergic reaction to a diaper rash balm with tea tree oil in it. This wasn't it! Motherlove's balm is, thankfully, tea tree oil free. Granted, I think I might be the only person on earth who breaks out in hives and gets all throat closey upish over that stuff.

  1. I'd like the baby on the front page of the Motherlove site who is trying to nurse but can't because he's smiling at his mama.

But if I can't have the baby, I think the green salve would be great.

  2. I would get (and will probably now order it on payday friday) the more milk plus stuff.
I had such a HORRIBLE time nursing my last one...and I am a HUGE supporter of breast-feeding. I don't ever want to go through that craziness again.....Good to know there are other natural options!!
    :)
    Thank you for sharing!

  4. Now, how does that work? You had never heard of them, therefore never blogged about them, and they randomly contacted you and offered their goods? How cool is that, Madeline?!
I would love to try the green salve, thanks!
