"Thank You" Doesn't Sound Like Enough

Yesterday's post almost didn't get posted, and now I'm so glad I hit publish.  I teared up reading all of the comments and emails in response to it.  Y'all were so generous with your words of encouragement, stories of your own experiences, and thoughtful suggestions.  I can't express how much of a blessing this has been to me.  The fears are already beginning to seem more manageable and normal.  Thanks to the many suggestions of books, ideas, tips, and tricks, I feel much better equipped to get through this.  So, thank you, thank you, thank you so very much!!!

  1. I read your last post last night and it was beyond the Cinderella hour and so I was going to come back because I have SO MUCH TO SAY. Too much to say in a comment. I was in precisely the same situation as you (trying for a 'VBAC' birth). I angsted for nine months over 'responsible' decisions and weighing perceived 'risks' and fears. The independant midwife kept notes throughout my home labour/birth. If I could show them to you, I promise you would take many deep breaths and focus. And after that home birth, I would happily have TEN more. (Except for minor issues regarding state of pelvic floor after thirteen births and the Mr fleeing over the nearest horizon). Stay calm Mama.

  2. I didn't get a chance to read your Monday post until today!! I don't have babies - but know I will someday. Every single home birth video I watch is 100% AMAZING. These women are peaceful yet powerful!! You are too. Just keep repeating peaceful/powerful! :)

Sending a truckload of good thoughts your way!! :)
