Bed Sharing With Two?

The earliest sleeping post I have marked is here...a little over a year ago.  Can you believe his tinyness?

His favorite sleeping spot is still snuggled up next to mama.  Sigh.  Where are we going to put a new little one?  Levi says the baby can sleep next to him.  Ha!  Not happening little squirmy worm.  Any tips on bed sharing with two?  I'm at a loss.  We have a twin bed set up right next to ours.  Levi thought his bed was cool for about a nanosecond.  And, then he was back in between us.

  1. My younger daughter (now 8) still prefers to sleep right up against me. I think she has a magnet for body heat.

I didn't put her in a crib until she was at least 6 months old. She always slept next to me, but my other daughter slept in her own bed, at least part of the night and then she sometimes came in and slept on the other side of Piper.

I remember that they made these things that fit on your side of the bed for the baby, but I never used one.

  2. I have the opposite issue. Sometimes I just wanna snuggle with the dude and he's like, I don't think so Mom. I need my own space!

  5. This is going to sound mildly ridiculous, but you know... I think you do whatever you need to do to make it work. But for us, what happened for a long long time was one of us would be in with Fynn (who has a double size bed) and the other (me for the first bit where Paige was still nursing at night) was in with Paige in our bed. Every now and then the four of us are in the same bed, and it's tight.
No real advice, just some rambles... good luck :)

  8. We have had two kiddos in bed with us ever since Silas was born 4 years ago. Having a king-size bed helps a lot! Big kid goes between mommy & daddy. Baby is on the other side of me, and we have a guard rail on that side. This has worked out fine for us...last night we ended up with 3 kiddos in bed with us (Silas curled up at my feet, silly boy).

  10. Our girl is older now and stays mostly in her own bed while our youngest is still with us but when our youngest was born we had our two queen matresses on the floor in our room side by side and all slept there together. Other than that one on each side :)

  11. My oldest was sleeping with me, too, when my middle came along. I put the body pillow on one side of me, with him on the other, and the baby next to me... seemed to work for awhile until I felt it was time for my oldest to get into his own bed.
