On My Mind

"You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God."
~1 Peter 3:4

This past week I've found myself dwelling a good bit on this verse as I've sorted through priorities, to do's, and such. It just seems like a good one to keep in mind as I go about the daily tasks of motherhood. It's likely one I should have been dwelling on well before motherhood. Oh,well. Would it be too overtly cheesy to embroider it on a pillow for Sophia's room? Seriously considering that.

  1. I don't think it would be cheesy at all.

As mothers there are so many things we want for our daughters. I think women struggle a lot with being satisfied with themselves (I know this has been on my mind a lot lately and I would love to be writing a post about it, but I really should be cleaning--we are seeing how that goes! ha!). Anyway, I think this is a great verse to pass on to your daughter :) I think reminding ourselves what is important is always a good thing.

  2. I think it would be a wonderful quote to embroider - it is certainly something that ALL women should remember. I saw you posted this while I was on vacation and waited to comment because I wanted to mention just how perfect it was for me at that time. Quite the blessing...
