Weekend

We love visits from Aunt Annie! She came up for a brief one over the weekend. The girls had so much fun riding with her. (Sadly, Levi was away at his dad's while she was here.)

Lillian was hesitant about the horses at first, but once she got on she loved it and kept asking to get back on.

Of my three children, Sophia was the most terrified of horses (all animals really) as a baby and toddler. She has totally conquered that fear, and she has become quite the fearless little horsewoman.

She would have ridden all day long and into the night if she could have, but eventually it was time to put Gracie, the horse, away. Sophia was so excited about leading her to the pasture, but only a few steps in she got distracted by "fwowers" and stooped down to pick one. Sheesh. She nearly got run over....such a classic three year old!

On the way back from riding Sophia decided that she wanted to pet a chicken. Ha! Only a very devoted aunt would climb into a very short chicken tractor to fulfill her niece's request!

We were sad to see Aunt Annie go!
