Y'all, Levi came home happy!!! The diversions I planned just ended up being fun things instead of attempts at distracting him from his usual wrath. He hugged me. He told me, "I like you!" and "I love you!" and, even, "I missed you!" over and over and over. He was full of laughter and sweetness. We giggled; we played; we baked; we cuddled and read; and, finally, he dozed off peacefully. It was all kinds of wonderful. Sigh...exactly what this mama needed.
The alien pop-tart also got a new name. He's been dubbed "Knitten" Generally, Levi calls things what they are...green bunny, horsey, big elephant, little elephant...you get the idea. Since, alien pop-tart isn't yet in his repertoire of identifiable objects, he named this after what he is certain all yarn is...knitting...a.k.a. "Knitten". We'll excuse him for his inability to distinguish between knit and crochet. He is only two, after all. ;)

Mish Mash
Be forewarned, there is randomness ahead...
~The pirate from yesterday's post somehow morphed into this...
I think he looks like an alien pop-tart. Hopefully Levi loves him. Maybe he'll love him enough to forget how much he dislikes me right after coming back from visitation. A gal can hope, right? Hmmm...I don't believe in buying love, but obviously I have no problem with crafting it. Or baking it, for that matter. If the alien pop-tart fails, I have a back up of cookie dough in the refrigerator ready to fill the house with smells of yumminess.
~Speaking of alien pop-tarts, have you seen this recipe. Personally, I'm trying to forget that I've seen it. Homemade pop-tarts are almost too much for a gal to resist. To my knowledge, Levi has never had a pop-tart. We should probably keep it that way...homemade or otherwise. But, man, do those look yum!
~So, Annie did indeed graduate yesterday! Yay!!
Note the turquoise hair peeking out from underneath her cap. Next up, vet school. I really hope, though, that vet school graduation isn't as insanely looooooong as this one was. My bum was so very sore by the end of it, but it was worth it! Congratulations, Annie-Bannie!!!
~About the car that my parents were going to lend me. Here's how the drop off went down:

My dad (a man of few words) hands me the keys: "I'll bring the title over later."
Me (apparently becoming a gal of even fewer words): "Huh?!!!"
My dad: "Well, little girl, you didn't think I was going to keep paying the taxes on it, did you?"
Me: "Uh. Thank you!" :)
Turns out they weren't lending me the car after all. They were giving it to me!! I took her for a spin today...despite the icky weather. We went to Walmart....glamorous, I know.
Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend!
Update: He was happy to see me!!! The alien pop-tart was just icing on the cake! Yay!!

A Weekend And Some Rags
These visitation weekends come too quickly. But, at least this one is going to be a full one. Yesterday evening, to waste away the hours, I changed my blog layout....yet again. Today, I'm heading off to see my sister graduate. Yay, Annie!!! Off to Veterinary School she goes. :) So, that just leaves tomorrow. I believe some crocheting will be in order. I'm thinking that Levi needs this cutie...
Speaking of crocheting...I haven't been able to unearth any of my knitted and crocheted dishcloths (the only kinds worth using!). To remedy that issue, I've been crocheting these lovelies...
This is now my favorite dishcloth pattern. The nubby texture makes washing dishes a breeze. To top it off, these are super easy and quick to crochet. And, aren't they cute?!!
